The importance of the first encounter
The check-in moment is crucial. It is the difference between a guest who feels welcome from the very first minute and one who starts their stay with doubts or distrust. At Torremolinos Gestión Vacacional, we treat every check-in like a 5-star hotel welcome.
Our handover protocol:
- Warm welcome: We explain how the house works, provide WiFi details, and offer tips about the area.
- Identity verification: We verify guest details for your peace of mind.
- Access control: We ensure the property is ready, clean, and climate-controlled.
- Total flexibility: Delayed flight? We adapt to the traveler’s actual schedule.
What the rules say (Decree 28/2016, art. 7.4): lockboxes and padlocks “may not be placed on street furniture on public roads”; if the operator is not there at arrival or departure time, key handover must be arranged beforehand; and the guest is entitled to the property from 3 pm to 11 am unless another schedule is agreed. That is why we never hang a key on a lamp post or a railing: a lockbox inside the entrance hall or on private property, or a lock with a per-booking code.
